The Sarmance Vignes de Loire cosmetics range uses active ingredients found in the vines of organic Melon de Bourgogne grapes (the variety used in Muscadet) to produce organic grape leaf water and aqueous and oily extracts with recognised benefits for the skin.
The Melon de Bourgogne grape
The Melon de Bourgogne varietal is in fact that used to make Nantes’ famous Muscadet wines. It is an extremely resistant grape variety (even in periods of extreme cold) and owes its name to the round melon-like shape of its leaves.
Melon de Bourgogne is highly rich in polyphenols and therefore also in antioxydants, making it an effective anti-ageing aid.
