Artisan winegrower Jérôme Bretaudeau cultivates eleven hectares with eleven grape varieties across four villages. Jérôme is passionate about what he does and gives priority to quality and organic agriculture with the Ecocert label.
He seeks to deepen his understanding of environmentally friendly practices and more and more often applies biodynamic methods. Often considered as a form of homeopathy for plants, the biodynamic approach involves applying preventive, natural treatments in tiny doses to strengthen the vines’ defences.The care received by the plants is evident when it comes to tasting the wines, whose names include Gaïa, La Monnerie, La Justice and Le Champ des Cailloux.
Grapes varieties include Melon de Bourgogne for Muscadet and Chardonnay, Sauvignon gris, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot which are blended to produce fine wines.
Hotels and fine dining establishments from bistros to gourmet restaurants, throughout France, recommend Domaine de Bellevue wines. Their reputation also extends abroad, to the UK, United States, Australia and Japan.
